I am Dan Krapf, outside sales representative for Voxel Dental in the Virginia, Maryland, D.C. and North Carolina region. I have had the honor and privilege of helping dental offices grow the dental implant and imaging technology side of their business for 23 years. Dentists consider me a friend, trusted advisor, troubleshooter, and educator. I look forward to making an even bigger impact on their practices with Voxel Dental given the expanded technologies I now have to offer them: CBCT, Intraoral Scanners, 3D Printers, Chair Side Milling, and Photogrammetry.
My wife, Sarah, and I have been married for almost 20 years. We are proud parents of 5 kids, ages 17, 15, 11, 8 and 5. It’s safe to say if I am not in a dental office working, I am most likely at marching band competitions, cheerleading competitions, piano recitals, or sporting events supporting our kids. My wife and I have created a crazy life and wouldn’t want it any other way!
The last 10 years I worked at Vatech Imaging, helping approximately 1600 customers incorporate CBCT technology. I worked with several dealers, one of which was Voxel Dental. I formed a close relationship with James Bonham, the founder, and many other Voxel Dental employees. I enjoyed working with Voxel because we had the same philosophy: always put the doctor first, provide great communication, impeccable post-customer service, support and training, and have fun. When it came time for Voxel to hire their first outside sales support it was only fitting that I joined the team.
From an early age, I have been fascinated with magic. Over the years it has been fun picking this hobby up again with my kids performing for them in the house and teaching them all my tricks.
I love being part of a small organization like Voxel Dental. All employees participate in a weekly call. This gives us a leg-up on the competition because we all have insight into how our business is going, what things we are doing well, and the things we need to improve upon. It’s an environment where everyone’s voice and ideas count. This also breeds team bonding and strong relationships. Great culture is very important at Voxel and it’s evident when doctors and staff work with us!
I love quotes and have several that I live by, but this one I have always liked: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” I believe that if you are self-motivated, consistent with your work ethic, treat people the way that they want to be treated, and improve every day, you can create the future that you want!
I work out consistently and try to eat healthy. However, I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, so I eat my fair share of pizza and cheesesteaks!
I am more of a dog than a cat person. At one point, we had 3 dogs and 3 kids under the age of 5. Unfortunately, we are currently petless but there has been lots of talk in the Krapf house about getting another furry friend.
I love Randolph-Macon, the college that I attended. I have sat on various boards and committees and supported the school in many other ways over the last 25 years. I think I would really enjoy working on a college campus environment in some capacity if my career did not lead me to dental sales and support.
I am very excited to be in this role at Voxel Dental. I had the honor of impacting many dentists over the years but it was limited to just one part of the technology on the Digital workflow side - CBCT. Now, with Voxel Dental, I get to help docs with the other components of the digital workflow: 3D printers, in-house milling, intraoral scanners, and photogammetry.
My role at Vatech was so fulfilling and rewarding, I can’t believe this role will be even more! I want to thank James for trusting me to be the first outside representative and support for Voxel and for the doctors that will be giving their support and trust in me to help them seamlessly implement these technologies in their office.
Whether you need a new panorex, a complete digital full-arch workflow, or anything in between, I'm happy to provide insight into which technologies can serve you best. Please feel free to email or call me with any questions.
If there's anything I can do to help your practice thrive, please do not hesitate to reach out.
